March Music Writing Challenge Day 20: Lady Gaga

I’ve got a confession to make…I haven’t listened to a Lady Gaga album in full since The Fame Monster in 2009. I know, it’s not a great look for me. But now that she’s put out another album after a few years, I’m more invested than I ever have been.

“Mayhem” was released earlier this month and the day it came out I listened to it over a handful of times. This is such a chaotic album (in the best way) and is layered with different sounds, emotions, and stories. The music videos for Disease and Abracadabra are true artistic perfection, I love the Bad Romance vibes.

From sweet and heartfelt songs to dance anthems, this album has everything you need to experience a wide range of emotions. Listening to “Mayhem” has made me decide to listen to her ENTIRE discography, it’s only fair.

I have so much respect for Lady Gaga, as an artist and human being. Hopefully, if she tours this album, which she will, she’ll have a date here in Florida. Fingers crossed!
